Special Event

Grand Opening Weekend
June 28-29, 2008

The New Sudekum Planetarium's premiere show is STARS, an original production narrated by stage and screen actor Mark Hamill. Adventure Science Center has been working with National Space Centre in Leicester, England, to create this stunning 26-minute show exploring the powerhouses of the universe and man’s relationship with the night sky throughout history. Part of the STARS soundtrack is performed by The Nashville Symphony, conducted by Albert-George Schram, Resident conductor. STARS is made possible, in part, by a gift from SunTrust Bank, Inc.

During opening weekend, STARS will show every hour from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please visit the Sudekum Planetarium FAQ to learn more about STARS and the new Planetarium.
