Support the all new
Sudekum Planetarium and Space Chase!
The Adventure Science center staff is proud to celebrate the opening of Phase I of Space Chase. During the first four weeks, more than 43,000 visitors witnessed the splendor of the cosmos—doubling normal attendance. More than half (25,225) of those who visited also were spectators at the new, leading-edge planetarium. Visitors from all but four of the 50 states experienced the thrill of ASC (Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Rhode Island still have an open invitation any time)!
With the tremendous success of Phase I, ASC staff, members and visitors are eagerly anticipating Phase II of Space Chase. The Infinity Star Chamber, Cosmic Ray’s, and Observatory exhibit will open in 2009, provided the aggressive fundraising goal is met. Less than one million of the total $21.3 is still needed to receive a $400,000 gift from the prestigious Kresge Foundation. The Space Chase steering committee, board and staff are focused on securing commitments by the December 1st deadline and your contribution will help us reach our goal.
Recently, an anonymous donor agreed to match all gifts dollar for dollar up to $400,000 - so your commitment will immediately be doubled! Please consider a gift to ASC in order to make Phase II Space Chase a reality. Call Rae Hummell at (615) 401-5054. ASC would like invite you to share this unique opportunity with the Nashville community and our visitors from all over the world.
Help us reach our goal! Gifts of all sizes will help bring us and all of the Middle Tennessee community closer to the night sky!
